What do you think of this commercial?

I can see both sides on this one. On one hand, it is definitely gender stereotyping, but on the other… Obviously the mother is disappointed that she can’t dress up her daughter in outfits that are very pink and frilly (which, oh yeah, some people like doing to their daughters), but in the end she is tolerant and ultimately lets her daughter wear whatever she wants. She does not punish her daughter or force her daughter into clothes she is unwilling to put on. She also lets her daughter build a garage with her toys because, in the end, gender norms don’t matter. Your take?

I just recently saw this commercial, the tone IS very heteronormative.
