Femmedia friend Kate Wadkins is awesome. Not only is she part of the People Named Kate World Domination Union, she also:
curates a zine collection; edits an online feminist academic journal; edits and publishes a feminist music zine; helps organize a feminist collective
AND NOW
she and some friends have gotten together to form Her Girl Friday, a community of women “dedicated to empowering women in journalism and other related fields by creating opportunities for learning, networking, collaboration, mentorship, professional growth, and the production and showcasing of meaningful nonfiction projects in a variety of media.”

Her Girl Friday will be holding their very first networking event for women in journalism and nonfiction storytelling on Wednesday, April 6 at Brooklyn Winery from 7-9PM. The event is FREE and has some really amazing guest speakers. THIS EVENT IS NOT TO BE MISSED!
